hello, again!

My name is Labiba (Lah-bee-buh) Amyeen (Ah-meen).

I recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Cognitive Science.

I am a multi-faceted designer with a cross-disciplinary background in cognitive science, marketing, visual design and project management!

I’m passionate about breaking the barriers of entry to the design field and creative problem solving.

In my free time, I can be found cooking, creating, and running/hiking! Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I’ve become a lover of all things outdoors.

Why design?

It’s expansive.

The design field is so new and has so much to offer. There’s no shortage of techniques and new emerging practices.

It’s humbling.

Designing requires me to check my ego at the door. In order to create the best designs, I have to be able to take criticism without taking it personally.

It’s community-based.

Having to navigate the design world at such a big school, I’m most grateful for the design community for being open and welcoming. This is also why I want to give back to the design community as I move forward in my career.
